Description
Before describing our Premium Rasam Powder, here is a quick intro to rasam.
Rasam, saathamudhu as Tamil Vaishnavites call it, is a South Indian dish, with a distinct spicy-sweet-sour taste. Traditionally prepared using tamarind, or dried green mango juice as a base along with jaggery, garlic, black pepper, chili pepper, cumin, tomato, and other spices as seasonings, it is a standard second course of South Indian meal, preceded by sambar rice and followed by curd (yogurt) rice. Steamed lentils are added, along with any vegetables like ripe tomatoes or lemon juice.
Mix with rice or consume separately as a spicy soup.
